Construction workers building new classrooms have taken time out to teach children some of their skills.

Staff from building firm Walter Thompson, which is building new classrooms at Le Cateau Primary School, in Catterick Garrison, gave up some time to teach pupils how to lay bricks.

They children used mortar and rubber bricks for the work.

Head Ian Mottram said: “The children really enjoyed it and even made some of their own buildings in the afternoon from different types of material.”
