Pupils at The Rhythm and Shoes Dance Academy got the chance to work with a West End performer at the weekend.

The students worked through pieces including Matilda the Musical, Cats and Wicked with professional dancer Elliot Allinson.

Younger pupils worked on Matilda producing an routine to the famous Revolting Children, while the older pupils worked on audition pieces from Cats, Matilda and contemporary work from Wicked.

Dance academy leader Louise Richmond said: “We are extremely lucky to have Elliot supporting the academy.

“It’s always lovely for students to be able to experience these workshops as they get so much out of them.

“The students were really excited and enthusiastic about the event and learnt a lot from Elliot.

“They all learned some really challenging pieces and we are really proud of them all.”

Elliot added: “Everyone was so good and I had a fantastic time working with all of the pupils.”
