Dogs welcome at Richmond IT company’s coworking day

A local IT company is opening up its coworking space on Friday for a free dog friendly coworking day for Bring Your Dog to Work Day.

Sophie Hazell, managing director of thecitysecret in Richmond, said there had been several reports detailing the benefits of having dogs in the workplace, including helping mental health, reducing stress, and encouraging employees to be more active.

She added: “Bring your dog to work day was a great opportunity to open our coworking space as well as raising money for charity.”

“For those who work remotely, or from home, it can sometimes feel lonely and isolating so coworking is a great alternative.  Being able to combine this with having dogs in the workplace is even better.

“Dogs are not compulsory and you are welcome to pop along without one.”

The coworking space will be open on Friday 21 June 2019 from 9am to 5pm and facilities include, refreshments, wifi and a pleasant open plan work environment.

There will be no charge on the day, but instead thecitysecret will be collecting for the Dogs Trust.

All dogs must be human and dog friendly.
