Richmond firefighters rescue dogs from cars

Firefighters from Richmond were called to rescue two dogs locked accidentally in cars today.

Crews were called to an eight-week-old puppy called Evie whose owners had locked their keys in the car along with Evie.

The incident occurred in Queen’s Road, Richmond at about 11.30am.

Due to the temperature, crews broke the small back window of the vehicle to reunite the puppy with her owner.

At 4.40pm firefighters were called to another dog which the owner had accidentally locked in her car at Barton Park, Barton.

Crews used small tools to break the rear window and reunite the dog with its owner.
