Second man arrested in connection with Richmond stabbing

Police have arrested a second man in connection with a stabbing in Richmond.

Police were contacted at 9.20pm Sunday by ambulance services to a report of a man with stab injuries at a property in Richmond. The man stated the injuries had been sustained at Garden Village while he was walking his dog.

Paramedics treated the man at the property and he was taken to hospital for further treatment, however his injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life changing.

A 27-year-old man from Colburn has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and currently remains in police custody.

The 27-year-old man from Catterick who was arrested earlier has since been released on bail while investigations continue.

Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time, who may of witnessed the incident, or anyone who has any information which could assist their enquiries, to contact them.
