The 8th Beating Blood Cancer Ball will host more than 400 people.

Guests will enjoy a glass of fizz on arrival, a 3 course meal accompanied by soloist Tom Powell. There will be a charity auction and live music from The Replicants.

Tickets are £65 available from Julie Moffitt on 07922293339.

After being inspired by the Calendar Girls, the Wensleydale Fundraising Group was founded in 2012 and started fundraising following Andrew Moffitt’ successful treatment of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma.

To date they have raised in excess of £206,000.

Since then friends and local people have also been touched by blood cancers including a 19-year-old who underwent revolutionary stem cell treatment and is now fully recovered and getting married this month.

A young local girl has recently been treated for leukaemia also using stem cell treatment which has been successful.

This year, the group hopes to raise awareness of stem cell transplants and encourage people to sign up as stem cell donors.
