A donation of £1,000 has been handed over to a Richmond charity.

The money will be used by Just the Job to help pay for their new premises set to be built at the town’s Gallowfields Industrial Estate.

The money was donated by Richmond residents Marcia and Dennis McCluckie

It was raised from events held in their garden last year. A further open garden event will take place on August 30 next year at Mr Yorkes Walled Garden, Cravengate.

Just the Job manager Steve Biggs said: “Firstly I’d like to say a great big thank you to Dennis and Marcia.

“It’s great that people are getting on board with fundraising ideas, different people have raised and donated all sorts of amounts from a few pounds to a thousand.

“If anybody wants to join in the fun and do something like a parachute jump or coffee morning for friends just get in touch and let us know.”

The charity has launched a Big Green Build appeal to fund the new building.

It is are being supported a variety of groups and organisations in Richmond to help raise the £500,000 they need to create their dream accommodation.

The charity says the premises will be a focus for their activities and a community hub for the whole of Richmond.
