The second Richmondshire tech meetup will be held next week at thecitysecret Academy in Richmond.
The events, which are held on the third Wednesday of the month, runs from around 6pm through to 8pm.
It is an opportunity for those working in technology and programming to socialise and exchange ideas.
This story continues after the adverts:
The first event, held in September, was well supported with techies from around the area.
Sophie Hazell, thecitysecret Academy director, said a guest speaker would give a tech talk at this month’s event.
Chris Lees, from Serendipity29, will give a talk on using big data to half the demand for office space.
Sophie said: “Technology can be used in so many ways across all industry sectors.
“Chris will talk about how big data can be used in the workplace to ultimately make people happier.”
The tech meetups are informal and are an opportunity for local technologists to meet and find out how others are using technology and hear about what they are developing.
With beers, pizza and other refreshments, it is a great opportunity to meet your local tech community, Sophie said.
The event is free and more details can be found via Eventbrite or the academy website – www.thecitysecret.academy.
Booking isn’t required, but it would be useful to get an idea of numbers.
