Tickets still available for Halloween crazy golf experience in Wensleydale village

Tickets remain for a pop-up Halloween crazy golf experience in a Wensleydale village which finishes this weekend.

The 18-hole course will open in Askrigg from October 27 to November 5.

It is being organsied by events company Incredible Artists, which staged a Halloween lockdown experience at the same venue at the former Carrs Billington warehouse.

Dawn Turner, from the events company, said: “The previous experience we did was great fun, and everyone really enjoyed it, but there were obvious limitations as to what we could do within lockdown.

“With those limitations now no longer an issue, this year’s Halloween is going to be on a whole other level.

“We wanted something more interactive than just walking around, looking at spooky tableaus, and also something that both adults and children could enjoy together. Halloween Crazy Golf seemed like the perfect solution. The course will consist of 18 spookily themed holes. We wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise, but expect to see all kinds of chilling things, from a headless horseman to singing skeletons, to ghost pirates.”

Depending on how much of a golfer you are, the 18 holes should take in the region of 45 minutes to an hour to complete.

The cost is £10 per adult, £8 per child, or a family ticket of 4 for £35.

For anyone wanting to play an additional round, there will be a discounted price subject to availability. There will also be refreshments, goody bags and Halloween toys for sale.

Anyone booking during September can receive an early bird discount of ten per cent if they use the promo code “earlybird10” at checkout.

Time slots are available every two hours from 10am to 8pm most days.

“We appreciate that times are tough for a lot of people at the moment,” said Dawn.

“It’s not easy keeping children occupied during the school holidays, so we’ve created something that is going to be good value and not done and dusted in a few minutes. It’s not just children and families that we are looking to appeal to.

“Crazy golf is just as much fun for groups of adults. It’s not compulsory, but it’s a great opportunity for fancy dress, so whether it’s Dracula or Casper the Friendly Ghost, we’re hoping people will come along and enjoy a ‘Fangtastic’ Halloween.

“There are even photo opportunities to win a family ticket to the upcoming ‘Santa Experience” too! #spookygolfexperience
