Police appeal over stolen musical instruments with sentimental value

Police are appealing for information about two musical instruments that were reported stolen from the Barton area in January this year.

A 37-year-old local man has been arrested in connection with the thefts.

He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

The instruments are:

  • a Realist Pro 5 string violin made by David Gage. It has a signature underneath the rear shoulder rest (photos of the violin and its case)

Police say the instruments hold high sentimental value to the owner.
