An 80s night at Richmondshire Cricket Club will raise money for Australian wildlife affected by the recent wild fires.
The event will be held this Friday from 7pm to 11pm.
Tickets cost £5.
The event is being organised by Emma Downing, who said she was inspired to act after watching a news programme after about the Australian bush fires.
She added: “It said that the koalas would not be able to go back to living in the wild for seven years and it just made me so upset.
“So because I’ve done fundraising for the local football team, and both events were a success, I thought I would do an event to contribute to the care if the koalas.”
The event will raise money for the WWF Australia Wildlife and Nature Recovery Fund.
Each ticket will be entered into a prize draw.
Fancy dress is encouraged and there will be a prize for best dressed male and female, although fancy dress is not mandatory.
Music will be provided by DJ Jazzy Geoff from the Comrades Club.
