
The A1(M) has reopened southbound after a tanker overturned on Saturday night.
The accident occurred between the Scotch Corner and the Catterick junction.
Police, firefighters and paramedics attended the scene.
Fire crews from Richmond, Colburn and Darlington were called just before 7.30pm on Saturday.
The road was shut around 9am on Sunday.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “No persons were trapped and fire crews dealt with containing a spillage from the vehicle and also scene safety.”
The driver suffered only minor injuries.
