The A1(M) has reopened southbound after a serious accident.
The road was shut between the Scotch Corner and Catterick junctions until early this morning.
The single vehicle collision occurred just before 5pm.
Fire crews from Richmond, Colburn and Darlington attended the incident.
Crews assisted one female from the vehicle and left her in the care of ambulance staff.
The road was closed for several hours while the vehicle was recovered and police collision investigators worked at the scene.
