There is heavy snow reported elsewhere in the Pennines including Newby Head between Hawes and Ingleton.

Snow is continued to fall throughout the day in Richmondshire today, although it could fall as sleet and rain in eastern areas of the district.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice and snow which lasts until 11am this morning.

A new warning of snow has then been issued for 6pm today until 11am on Thursday.

A warning of high winds is then in place for 9pm tonight until 11am tomorrow.

  1. Surely Police are not using rear wheel drive BMWs in this weather? Ambulance RRV’s are Octavia Scouts capable of off road with the same 4wd as Range ROver Evoque and Freelander and cheaper than a beemer
