Yorkshire folk duo Belinda O’Hooley and Heidi Tidow, widely known for penning the theme tune to Sally Wainwright’s hit BBC One drama Gentleman Jack, will perform for the first time in Reeth Memorial Hall on Friday, July 4.
Belinda and Heidi’s songwriting has been described by The Guardian as ‘exceptional’ and The Independent as ‘defiant, robust, northern, poetical, political folk music for the times we live in.’
The duo’s first full studio album in seven years; Cloudheads delves into the mindscapes, passions and inner worlds of two highly individual women. Moving, melodic, dramatic and tender, they explore subjects and stories in a distinctive and memorable way.
Tickets are £20 in advance (£22 on the door) and under 16s are half price; on sale at Reeth Post Office or contact Glen Steward 01748-884989, email: memorialhall@swaledale.org
Proceeds are in aid of hall funds.
Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
