Acclaimed quartet to perform in Richmond

The acclaimed Escher String Quartet will perform in the district this weekend as part of the Richmondshire Concerts season.

The New York-based group is no stranger to Britain and from 2010 to 2012 it held the prestigious role of BBC New Generation Artists.

On Saturday quartet makes its first visit to the Richmondshire Concerts to perform works by Mozart and Mendelssohn, and Edvard Grieg’s dense, almost orchestral first string quartet.

The concert is the third in the current season of Richmondshire Concerts, which has attracted record audiences.

It will be held at 7.30pm at the Influence Church, Richmond.

Tickets are £15 at www.rsconcerts.org, or from Castle Hill Bookshop in Richmond, or at the door if available.
