Job Opportunity: Account Manager

Due to retirement an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Metcalfe Farms Haulage Ltd team in the role of Account Manager, based at the company’s head office in Leyburn, North Yorkshire.

The successful candidate will be joining a fast-paced environment alongside an experienced team of planners and account managers. The post holder will work side by side with customers, planners and drivers to deliver a cost effective and compliant service.

Duties and responsibilities include:
• You will be working as part of a team
• Liaising with customers to ensure a prompt and efficient service.
• Liaising with drivers
Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK
• Previous experience within a heavy transportation company advantageous but not essential
• Experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Ability to take a creative approach to problem solving.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Good oral and written communication skills are required.
• Good organisational skills are required.
• Possess a friendly and approachable manner.
• Possess good time keeping skills.
• Effective Customer Service Skills
