The Andy Lawrenson Trio will perform at The Old School House in Leyburn this weekend.
The Gypsy Jazz Celebration, their new show for 2017, is billed as a “stylish, humerous and very entertaining portrayal of a style of music originally pioneered by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli in 1930’s Paris”.
The distinctive style is instantly recognisable – acoustic, up-tempo, alternately joyous, exotic and full of pathos.
The Andy Lawrenson Trio mix the instrumental style with songs from the great American Songbook, blending style, flair, astonishing dexterity and plenty of interaction to produce a show to warm the hearts and entertain any audience.
