This year’s Original Richmond Business and Tourism Association’s  (ORBTA) loyalty card promotion  launches on Thursday.

Throughout October, shoppers are invited to collect a loyalty card from ORBTA members, who can be identified by the posters in the windows of shops and other businesses.

All the shopper has to do is collect six stamps from six different ORBTA members, complete an easy to answer question and submit their completed card to a participating member.

There is no limit to the number of cards that can be entered by an individual, but the stickers must come from 6 different ORBTA businesses.

All the completed entries will go into a draw with prizes for five lucky winners of £100 in vouchers to be spent in ORBTA businesses; a gift box of award-winning Kiss the Moon aromatherapy products, worth £100; five free walks for your dog with Waggydayz dog walking service; a £20 box of chocolates from Mocha Chocolate Shop and a Neeps and Tatties fresh produce box to the value of £25.

To find out which businesses are participating in the scheme, shoppers are encouraged to look for the ORBTA posters around the town or visit to find ORBTA member businesses.

There are around 95 members of the association in and around Richmond.

Businesses taking part include members Saks Hair and Beauty at Sedbury Hall near Scotch Corner; Ginger Tree Beauty and Purple Creative at Aske Stables; Roots and Shoots, Estate Café, Alt-Berg Hiking and Walking Boots;  Oliviers Furniture; Greensleeves Picture Framing and Gallery and Arthur Caygill Cycles on Gallowfields Trading Estate; Middlemoor Farm Café; the Station Shop and Café/Bar plus businesses in and around Richmond Town Centre.

Marcia McLuckie, chair of The Richmond Business and Tourism Association said, “We have many independent businesses in Richmond and the Loyalty Card promotion is designed to encourage people to use those businesses that are members of the Richmond Business and Tourism Association.  Membership continues to develop meaning there are many more businesses where shoppers can use their cards.”

The Loyalty Card promotion starts Thursday, October 3 and runs throughout the month.

Closing date for entries is Friday, November 8 and winners will be notified Friday, November 29.

This is the third year that ORBTA have run this successful loyalty promotion.
