Another £60,000 available to help Richmondshire small businesses

A funding stream that has helped more than 180 small Richmondshire businesses over the last six years has been allocated another £60,000.

The district council’s small business grant scheme – which is open to micro and small operations – aims to help increase in turnover and generate new jobs.

The 184 businesses helped since 2013 have taken a share of £157,697 towards projects totalling £324,724.

The grants have gone towards IT equipment, office set ups, website development, tools and equipment, marketing and branding support.

Members of the authority’s Corporate Board approved the grant aid when it met this week.

The new grant allocation will be launched on October 1.
