Appalachian string band music to be performed in Reeth

An evening of Appalachian string band music with an innovative twist comes to Swaledale when Evie Ladin and Keith Terry perform at Reeth memorial hall.

Based in Oakland, Calfornia, Evie is a singer-songwriter and percussive dancer who also plays clawhammer banjo.

Keith trained as a jazz drummer, is a master percussionist, using any available surface, including most of his own body to produce a rythym, plays stand-up bass and is the founder of the International Body Music Festival.

The concert is on Saturday, July 21, at 8pm.

Tickets are £12 in advance, £14 on the door, under 16s half price, and all profits are for the upkeep of the hall.

Tickets are on sale at Reeth Post Office or contact 01748-884759.
