Appeal after fence cut in Dalton-on-Tees

Police are appealing for information about criminal damage that occurred in Dalton-on-Tees.

It happened on Northallerton Road at approximately noon on Monday, February 28 and involved two males cutting a wire fence with bolt croppers, to gain access to the river.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

“In particular, we are appealing for information about the identity of those involved.

“The first was very tall and was wearing a hat, a dark blue top and dark trousers.

“The second is described as short and was wearing a grey jacket and dark trousers.”

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for PC 589 Wilkinson.
