Appeal after grave attacked and cars damaged in Richmondshire village

Police are appealing for information after a year-long spate of vandalism in a Richmondshire village

Officers say there has bee spate of incidents in Middleton Tyas over the last year which are all believed to be connected.

Several vehicles have been damaged, a grave has been attacked and graffiti with offensive words has been spread around the village.

In two incidents graffiti was daubed on the local school gates on August 31 and again this week on Tuesday.

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for Sharon Findlay.
