Police are appealing for information after a shed was broken into and a bike stolen in Barton.
The incident happened on St Cuthbert’s Green between 9pm on Sunday, April 5 and 6.30am on Monday, April 6.
Officers from North Yorkshire Police say a shed was targeted during the overnight break-in, with a bicycle taken from the property.
Residents in the area are being urged to check any CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage from the time period, as it may show those responsible arriving at or leaving the scene, or attempting to access other properties nearby.
Police are also reminding people to take extra precautions to protect their property, including securing outbuildings, locking vehicles such as quad bikes, recording VIN numbers and, where possible, fitting tracking devices.
