Appeal after two cars collide near Scorton

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a crash near Scorton on Monday.

The incident happened on the B1263 near to Beck Hill Farm at around 8.20am.

A grey Ford Transit Custom was in collision with a grey Land Rover Discovery.

The driver of the Ford was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough for treatment for suspected concussion and broken ribs.

The driver of the Land Rover sustained slight injuries but did not require hospital treatment.

Road closures were in place while an initial investigation was carried out and recovery was made for the vehicles involved.

Police are asking for anyone who believes they saw either vehicle prior to the collision or who may have witnessed the collision to get in touch.
