Appeal after Wensleydale pub burglaries

Police are appealing for witnesses after two burglaries in Askrigg.

They happened between 1am and 4am on Sunday.

Two males gained entry to two pubs in the village and stole items from inside.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

“In particular, we are appealing for information about two males that may have been seen acting suspiciously in the area at the time.

“One of the males is described as wearing a baseball cap, tracksuit hoody and trainers.

“The other male was wearing a dark coloured beanie hat and possibly a boiler suit type piece of clothing.”
