Appeal launched to renovate Richmond football pavilion

An appeal has been launched to renovate a Richmond football pavilion.

Members of Richmond Town FC Women’s teams are aiming to revamp the pavilion at Earls Orchard.

The ground is home to a number of teams including the club’s ladies teams, the over-40s and several junior teams.

Kelly Morris, from the women’s section, said: “We share our ground with the over-40s team too and currently have two smaller pitches marked out for the use of your younger girls sections.

“Our ever growing ladies and girls section is testimony to the excellent club we all play under.

“Focussing on making sure all children and adults have access to football and pathways in both male and female teams and leagues.”

Kelly added: “Unfortunately our beautiful picturesque Earls Orchard is being shadowed by the dingy, dark interior, lack of working facilities and general dated state of the venue.

“Along with other grant applications we are now launching our Crowdfunder to gain some vital funds for our project.”

As part of this fundraising, the club is offering logo tiles as an extra purchase.

“These are for businesses who’d like their logo displayed on a tile wall once the facility is upgraded and across all our social media platforms.”
