Appeal after taxi driver assaulted in Richmond

Police are appealing for witnesses after a taxi driver was assaulted in Richmond.

The incident happened on Newbiggin at 2.15am on Monday, April 1.

The taxi driver did not suffer any serious injury but was left feeling very shaken by the attack.

A spokesperson for Richmondshire police said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

“In particular, we are appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the incident and the people involved.”
