
An appeal has gone out following the theft of ducks from Richmond.
Seven female birds – some white and some brown – were taken from a small holding near the Gallowfields Trading Estate in Richmond.
The theft took place between 7pm on Sunday and 7am this morning.

It is understood the thieves left one male duck behind.
The elderly owner is said to be very upset and concerned for the birds’ welfare.
They have urged anyone with information on their whereabouts or who may have been offered a flock of ducks for sale to call police.
Anyone with information can call North Yorkshire Police on 101.
