Richmondshire-based artist Lucy Pittaway has teamed up with the Wensleydale Heifer in West Witton to offer a competition prize package worth more than £1,000.
Organisers say the collaboration offers one lucky winner a unique experience combining creativity, luxury and indulgence.
The prize includes £500 to spend on Lucy Pittaway artwork, alongside a Gourmet Stay and Dine package at the Wensleydale Heifer worth £580.
Winners will enjoy a one-night mid-week stay for two in a luxury bedroom of their choice, with fizz and a selection of the hotel’s signature dishes on arrival.
As part of the experience, the winning pair will spend time with the chef to create a bespoke tasting menu, followed by a wine appreciation session with the hotel’s in-house sommelier. They will then enjoy either a five-course tasting menu with paired wines, or a Heifer lobster or steak experience complete with a bottle of wine.
The prize also includes a full Yorkshire breakfast and a ‘cuddly’ souvenir to take home.
Entries are open until February 13, with details available via the Lucy Pittaway website.
Lucy said she was delighted to be collaborating with the award-winning hotel.
“We’re huge fans of the Wensleydale Heifer and we’re thrilled to be working with them on this exciting competition. Their team always offer the very highest quality experience and the warmest welcome, so we know the lucky prize winner will be in very safe hands. I’m also really looking forward to seeing which artwork they choose.”
The Wensleydale Heifer has long been a supporter of Lucy Pittaway’s work, with her art and homewares featured throughout the restaurant, luxury bedrooms and their exclusive two-bedroom cottage, The Heifer Hideaway.
The venue is also home to the largest canvas print of Lucy’s iconic Sycamore Gap painting.
David Moss, co-owner of the Wensleydale Heifer, said: “It’s always a pleasure to collaborate with Lucy and her team. The competition has already proved extremely popular, with thousands of entries received so far. We can’t wait to welcome the lucky winner to collect their prize.”
