Renowned art historian, curator and broadcaster Kate Bryan is set to appear at the Garden Rooms at Tennants in Leyburn for an evening dedicated to making art accessible to everyone.
The event, titled How to Art with Kate Bryan, will take place on Thursday, March 19, starting at 7.30pm, and is based on her new book How to Art: Bringing a Fancy Subject Down to Earth So We Can All Enjoy It.
During the talk, Kate will aim to demystify the art world, offering practical advice on how to look at, understand and enjoy art without feeling intimidated.
Drawing on her extensive career in galleries and television, she will share insights, stories and tips designed to help audiences engage with art in a confident and enjoyable way. The evening will also include a Q&A session, giving attendees the chance to ask questions.
Kate Bryan is a leading figure in the contemporary art world. She is Head of Collections for Soho House globally, overseeing an international art collection across more than 40 houses worldwide.
She is also well known to television audiences through her work on Sky Arts programmes including Portrait Artist of the Year, Landscape Artist of the Year and Inside Art.
Speaking ahead of the event, Kate said: “Art should be for everyone. My mission is to break down barriers and share the joy of art in a way that feels approachable and fun.”
