A new company has launched in Richmondshire selling artisan bath salts.
The Yorkshire Apothecary is based in Skeeby and is the idea of David Wilkinson.
David said he got the idea as had been using essential oils as alternative therapies to help with the everyday struggles his wife faced with work and health.
This story continues after the adverts:
He added: “I developed the stress relief recipe first and thought of the idea of using bathing to help.
“I researched the many benefits of Himalayan salt (know as pink gold) and Dead Sea salt and came to the conclusion that bath salts have fantastic therapeutic benefits.
“From there I developed salts for various ailments, adding specific botanicals to further therapy.”
The salts are: stress relief, mood lifting, immunity support, insomnia, sensuality, women’s balance, monthly support and snoring.
David added: “I believe that my salts range from being aids to calmness, worry, sleep, bone and muscle problems, hormonal issues and even the common cold.
“My salts are therapeutic and they also offer the moisturising and aromatic qualities that people enjoy when pampering themselves with bath products.”
The Yorkshire Apothecary products are available in Brooke’s farm shop in Richmond.
