Residents are invited to celebrate the official opening of Askrigg Ropemakers at a special fundraising event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The grand opening will take place on Saturday, July 11, from 10.30am to 1.30pm, with a range of activities including live rope-making demonstrations at 11am and 1pm, refreshments, a tombola, raffle and a pop-up rope shop.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Parking will be available in Askrigg village or at Cars Billington, with organisers encouraging people to come along, learn about the traditional craft of rope making and help raise money for a good cause.
