I had the privilege of being taught by Prof King and experiencing fieldwork under her guidance at Nottingham University in the 1970s. We all looked up to her. I am delighted to see she is still thriving.
I was taught as an undergraduate by Cuchlaine King during the 1950’s and worked with her as Departmental Demonstrator in Geography while a research student. She combined a fine intellect and academic dedication with kindness and good humour and I remember her with gratitude and warm affection for all she brought into my life.
