Barclays has launched a mobile branch for service personnel at Catterick Garrison.

Throughout this week Sue Inglis, Barclays branch manager in Leyburn, has been supported by Natasha Bateman, from their Richmond branch, by setting up the mobile branch in the Richmond Centre in Munster Barracks.

Mrs Inglis said the aim is to provide training and guidance, such as telling soldiers exactly how much they could borrow on their salaries, but the most important aspect was to bring the banking services to the customer.

This story continues after the adverts:

“Most people can squeeze a trip to the bank in their day to day lives but for those serving it can be a real logistical problem.

“The mobile branch will reduce the stress of rushing to the bank, allow serving personnel to enjoy their free time and give the, the opportunity to take more control of their money by asking questions with the experts.”
