A local wildlife photographer took this photo of two barn owls hunting together in the Yorkshire Dales this week.
The image was taken by Gaz Atkinson on Middleham Low Moor.
The birds can often be seen in the area in the evening or perched on a post on the roadside between Wensley and Carlton at night.
Gaz said he had seen up to four barn owls at one time on the moor.
There are thought to be around 4,000 breeding pairs of barn owls in the UK, although because the birds are generally nocturnal experts say it is hard to be certain.
