Barton to hold open gardens event

The village of Barton will opens its gardens to the public on Sunday, June 10.

Organisers say this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever with several new gardens, along with some old favourites.

Visitors can up their gardens map at the village hall, where they can also browse plant, book and cake stalls, try their luck on the tombola and enjoy live music for a summer’s day performed by a string quartet from the Richmondshire Orchestra.

Admission is just £4 to include refreshments, with children admitted free.

There will be a themed children’s trail with things to spot in each garden.

The event runs from 1pm to 5pm at Barton Village Hall, Silver Street, Barton, DL10 6JW.
