Beauty academy wins regional award for third year in row

A Catterick Garrison beauty training academy has won the Best Northeast Training Academy award for the third year in a row.

The Beauty Training Hub won the award at the The English Beauty Industry Awards – North East Edition 2023.

The awards showcase those who promote excellence within the hair and beauty industry.

Christine Straub is the head tutor and has worked as a beauty therapist since leaving school and running a salon of her own.

She opened The Beauty Training Hub with Tracy Fisher in 2019.

Christine said: “It is always important to us that our students leave the academy with a deep understanding of the treatment so that they can start offering it in their salon immediately. Therefore, all courses are accredited and certified and there is lifetime support for all our students.

“Our mission is for The Beauty Training Hub training to be a benchmark within the industry. Our academy is just that, an academy. It is spacious and has lots of natural light to allow our students the room to work in and learn properly. Many of our students comment that The Hub is like a family.

“We pride ourselves on being friendly, approachable, down to earth and our training is relaxed and fun.”
