Biker rescued from shrubbery after Wensleydale crash

A motorcyclist had to be rescued from shrubbery after a collision yesterday.

The incident happened on the A684 at Heads Bank between Aysgarth and Swinithwaite.

The emergency services were called to the scene just after 2pm.

Police, paramedics and firefighters from Hawes and Leyburn attended the incident.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the male motorcyclist was not trapped but stuck in shrubbery beside the road.

A spokesperson added: “Crews removed shrubs to gain access to male and lift him out for ambulance crews to assess.

“His injuries are not thought to be serious.”

The road was closed while emergency services worked at the scene.

  1. Another motorbiker going too fast wasting time of the emergency services. They’re a plague on the A684.

  2. Another excuse for CANS to force average speed cameras onto the area without consulting drivers?
