The Richmondshire Concerts box office has opened for a 70th anniversary gala season.

The six-concert series begins on September 23.

It features a mouth-watering variety of classical musicians including the prize-winning New York-based Escher String Quartet, the famous New London Chamber Ensemble of wind instruments, and local favourites, Royal Northern Sinfonia, performing Mozart, Strauss and two of Bach’s brilliant Brandenburg Concertos.

Society Chairman Nick Reckert said: “It’s a great programme, in the best classical music venue in the area.

“We’re lucky to have so many regular visitors from all over North Yorkshire and the North-East that we’ve been able to hold season tickets at the amazing price of just £42.”
