Brothers complete Yorkshire Three Peaks for junior football club

Two brothers have hit their target of raising £1,000 to help build a sports pavilion for their junior football club.

Connor and Ryan Cook completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge to raise money for Catterick Garrison Football Centre.

Ryan plays for the under 11s and Connor the under 14s.

The club is hoping to build a pavilion at its ground in Smuts Road, Catterick Garrison.

The brothers completed the challenge over three weekends, walking more than 27 miles due to a slight detour.

In total, the boys walked for 12 hours 17 mins and almost 80,000 steps.

Mum Rebecca said: “They hadn’t reached there target of £1,000 after there last climb, so they decided to continue to walk until they perhaps reached it.

“But an amazing person saw there efforts and donated £171 so they could meet their target so there little legs did not have to walk any further.”
