Burglary at Swaledale hotel

Police are appealing for information about a burglary at a hotel near Keld in Swaledale.

It happened sometime between 10.05pm on Wednesday, July 25 and 6.50am on Thursday, July 26.

The offenders forced entry to the hotel and stole a safe containing a large quantity of cash and other documentation.

A police spokesperson said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

“In particular, we are appealing for information about any suspicious vehicles or people that have been seen in the area over recent weeks.”
