A burst pipe caused flooding in a neighbouring property in Richmond this morning.
Firefighters were called to the incident in Flints Terrace at about 2.40am.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “A crew from Richmond responded to reports of flooding in a property, which was caused by a burst pipe in the neighbouring property.
“This caused extensive water damage to both properties.”
Firefighters used torches to isolate the water and electrics.
The crews also gave advice and carried out safe and well visits, including fitting smoke alarms.
