Burst water main repaired in Leyburn area

A burst water main causing water supply for residents in the Leyburn area has been fixed.

Yorkshire Water said at 9.44am the repair had been completed and supplies were being restored to customers.

A spokesperson said it would take a little time before all customers had water again while the mains recharged.

The burst mains pipe in a field near Leyburn occurred at about 11pm on Thursday.

Surrounding villages were also understood to be affected with residents of West Witton and Harmby reporting issues on social media.

  1. I live on Richmond Terrace in Leyburn. Any idea when the supply will be reinstated?
