Business resilience training on offer

Two business resilience workshops are being run in January for Richmondshire companies.

Business resilience is about being prepared for adverse market conditions and running through a number of ‘what if’ scenarios, and the best way to deal with uncertainty is to plan ahead and make contingencies.

The workshops are being run by business trainers UMi which is working in partnership with North Yorkshire Council and the FSB.

A spokesperson for UMi said: “”Whatever your business is facing, whether you’re struggling with rising costs or wondering whether to invest, we know the uncertain outlook can make leading your business tougher.

“Getting into action on the elements of your business you can control will help your peace of mind and build your business’s resilience now and in the future. You’ll also save time and energy in future, as you’ll have everything set up already.

“As with all good planning, we recommend you take stock of where you are now, think through future scenarios, take action on what you can do now, and keep an eye on how things are going.”

The free workshop will guide you through this process and support you to create your own Business Resilience Plan.

The workshop is available on either Thursday 18th January (9:00 – 12:00) or Tuesday 23rd January (09:00 – 12:00), but numbers are limited for each, so register your interest as soon as possible by emailing Business.ric@northyorks.gov.uk
