Richmond School and Sixth Form College is seeking employers who may be able to provide a ‘non-standard’ work placement to a year 10 pupil.
A non-standard placement is for students who might require additional support.
A spokesperson said: “A non-standard work placement may consist of a talk or insight activity within school, a few hours shadowing someone at work, showing a student around a workplace, or providing specific support for students with additional needs whilst on placement.
“They work with their students on an individual basis, and although each individual may require a different type of support, they believe that all of our students have something positive to contribute.”
If you would like to discuss what you or your workplace can offer or feel you have specific knowledge or skills that could be beneficial for students with certain needs, please contact Ruth Hamer, careers adviser, in the first instance at firstname.lastname@example.org
