It was a busy bank holiday weekend in Bainbridge with Hawes Silver Band playing for over an hour on the village green, alongside 150 vehicles brought along at the invitation of Bainbridge and District Motor Club.
It was the third year for the motor show which started in 2015, the year after the Tour de France. Classic and vintage cars, tractors, a 40-seater bus, motorbikes and even motor caravans joined in the rally.
“There’s no limit, really, age and condition doesn’t matter. We just say anything with an engine,” said Bob Foster, one of the organisers. “It’s a bit of bank holiday fun.” Members set up a food tent and all proceeds go to a local charity.
And after their stint on the green, the band packed up their instruments and headed to Semerwater for their next appearance at the lakeside service.
