
It has been a busy few weeks for Richmond Triathlon Club members particularly as the club held their first ever junior triathlon at Barnard Castle School.
There were some great results for clubs in the North East and the club’s own stars. These included:
TriStar1 Boys: Kayden Wright 14th. TriStar 2 Boys: Lucas Holmes 13th, Oliver Cooke 16th, Thomas Greer 17th, TriStar 2 Girls: Holly McCowie 9th, Brooke Harrison 14th. TriStar 3 Boys: Kyle Rabjohn 4th, Ralph Chisholm 5th, George McCowie 8th, Joseph Withers 9th, Mackenzie Monteith 12th, Benedict Cooke 13th. TriStar 3 Girls: Charlotte Jackson 8th.
In Leeds at the National Aquathlon Championships, Matt Lambert (14) got the Gold and Sam Kettlewell (15) Bronze in the under 20’s age category.
“It was a sight to behold seeing club colours at such a prestigious event,” said the club’s Kate Cole.
Also in Leeds at the Super Sprint Triathlon, club members Will Smith and Jake Stephenson in the Elite Youth category representing GBR, completed the 35th and 15th respectively.
In the TriStar 3 category, Charlie Stephenson finished 19th and Kyle Rabjohn 27th.
Will Smith also completed the Stockton Wheelers 10m Time Trial and came 2nd.
