Richmondshire Repair Cafe is appealing for new volunteers to help meet growing demand as increasing numbers of residents bring items along to be repaired.
Organisers say the popularity of the café means more people are needed to help keep things running smoothly, both in the café and booking-in areas, and to increase the number of items that can be fixed at each event.
The next two Repair Cafes will take place at Richmond Town Hall on Sunday, March 8 and Sunday, April 19.
Volunteer organiser Valerie Adams said: “If you can spare a weekend morning every month or so, enjoy meeting people and/or would like to share your repair skills, then being a Repair Cafe volunteer could be for you.
“There are also behind-the-scenes roles available, such as helping with publicity and the all-important admin tasks.”
The Repair Cafe offers free repairs on a wide range of household items, helping to save money, reduce waste and build community connections.
