A car had to be recovered after the driver got stuck down a narrow street in Richmond yesterday.
The incident happened in the town’s Millgate, which leads from the Market Place to the river.
The Audi A3 became wedged between a wall and high kerb while the driver was trying to manoeuvre.
Police and soldiers attempted to move the vehicle, however a breakdown recovery company was needed to release the car.
No damage was caused to the car or the wall.
In a post on social media, police in Richmond urged motorists not to let other drivers “bully you to make manoeuvres in a panic”.
We came across this tricky car today. We needed the assistance of Lowes Revovery in the end. Please dont let other drivers bully you to make manoeuvres in a panic. This cost this driver £150 for recovery. Thankfully no damage caused to the car or the walls. pic.twitter.com/PfRI19vMl7
